We know that Trump has made smear campaigns against Joe Biden a top priority: he was impeached for extorting Ukraine to announce bogus investigations into the Bidens by withholding US aid. The Mueller report, the US intelligence community, and even the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee have all agreed that Russia succeeded in interfering with the US 2016 election on behalf of Trump, and is actively trying to tip the 2020 election as well. So other scandalous accusations against Biden should be expected - and treated very skeptically.
Ex-prosecutor Michael Stern detailed in USA Today many reasons to be suspicious about Tara Reade's allegations of sexual misconduct against Joe Biden. Besides the many shifts and inconsistencies in her stories, Reade has a clear agenda. She's written numerous articles advocating for Sanders and displaying a surprising infatuation with Vladimir Putin.
In a January 2020 article, Reade advocated for Sanders as the Democratic nominee, calling Biden "the blue Trump."
In her November 2018 article, "Why a Liberal Democrat Supports Vladimir Putin," Reade claims that "..Currently, President Putin has a higher approval rating in America then the American President, particularly with women. President Putin has an alluring combination of strength with gentleness. His sensuous image projects his love for life, the embodiment of grace while facing adversity. It is evident that he loves his country, his people and his job..."
In Reade's March 2019 article dismissing the claim of Russian interference with the US election, including: "...I love Russia, I love my Russian relatives and friends. And like most women across the world, I like President Putin… a lot, his shirt on or shirt off."
Isn't it clear she has an ax to grind? Why is this evident bias not being included in coverage of her accusations?
The New York Times doesn't mention Reade's agenda - even as it repeats calls for more coverage of her claims - from a former Sanders campaign chair, and the head of Democracy for America, a pro-Sanders advocacy group.
Chris Hayes, an MSNBC host, also made a similar omission on his 4/29/20 show, falsely characterizing her story as corroborated and credible.
The NYT and MSNBC, by propagating this smear without full disclosure of its context, are shamefully collaborating with the Trump campaign. They must correct and retract these stories now.

Chris Hayes spreading Biden smear
I am shocked and disappointed that on 4/29/20, Chris Hayes devoted time on his show for a one-sided recap of Tara Reade's misconduct allegations against Joe Biden without mentioning that she has been an outspoken advocate for both Bernie Sanders and Vladimir Putin. (See USA Today, https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/04/29/joe-biden-sexual-assault-allegation-tara-reade-column/3046962001/) Unless Hayes promptly covers this other part of the story, or issues a retraction, I will stop watching the show. Let me know your response.

NY Times spreading Biden smear
I am shocked and disappointed that the 4/29/20 article, "Democratic Frustration Mounts as Biden Remains Silent on Sexual Assault Allegation," repeats an incomplete recap of Tara Reade's misconduct allegations against Joe Biden without mentioning that she has been an outspoken advocate for both Bernie Sanders and Vladimir Putin. (See USA Today, https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/04/29/joe-biden-sexual-assault-allegation-tara-reade-column/3046962001/) I urge the NYT to promptly cover this other part of the story, or issue a retraction.
